Who We Are

Woolly What Knot is owned and operated by me (Molly.) I started in 2017, from my Grandma’s spare room and have since moved offices twice, once to Exeter and again to a larger office near the heart of the city. We are now a small team dedicated to providing the best recycled yarns have to offer, whilst constantly making a effort to improve the way we work. When needed my family and friends help out, from shelf building, to helping us move.

We have a postage and packing promise that you can find details on below. This helps us to manage our impact on the environment, we also provide electronic receipts to cut down on the amount of paper we use.

Our Postage Promise

We are committed to finding the best and Eco friendly packing solutions. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve please send us email.

We use paper packing tape that is fully recyclable to help reduce our environmental impact. Our Mailing Bags are carbon neutral, made from sugar cane, and also fully recyclable. The cardboard boxes we use for our large orders are sustainably sourced and manufactured from 80% recycled materials. We also reuse boxes that have been donated by local Business to give them another chance to be used. Find out more about our non recyclable packing...

Received non recyclable packing?

We do accept donations from friends and local businesses of bubble wrap and other packing materials. We do not buy these materials but equally dont see the point in letting them go straight to landfill when we could use them again.

We send all our orders using couriers such as Royal Mail and DPD. All our orders are now sent tracked and there is a range of options to suit you on the basket page. Shipping is calculated on the basket page.

How Will My Order Be Sent?

Tracking will be emailed or texted to you by one of our two couriers. Please be considerate of the unprecedented volumes they are currently handling.

Currently our post is collected at 3pm and our small team will pack as many as we possibly can to get them dispatched each day.We are not able to advertise a cut off point as it depends how busy we are. We are only open on Monday - Friday (excluding bank holidays), and are unable to ship orders over the weekend. Hover over this box to find out how we handle issues with orders...

If There Is A Problem
